. A lot of movies are filmed in New Mexico but not many are actually set there. As they attempt to find out what happened to the other guests they are horrified to. In Dont Blink the hotel was set outside Preston NM which is a real life ghost town.

With no gas for the return trip the visitors are forced to stay and investigate the mystery surrounding the abandoned lodge. A deceptively simple story about a group of ten friends who get together for a weekend getaway at a mountain resort only to discover that there isnt anybody there when they arrive. First time writerdirector Travis Oates hits one out of the park with his debut feature Dont Blink.

Where did they all disappear to. I think it is a good movie to watch when you want an eerie slower paced and less blood and violence based horror. The cast is headed by Brian Austin Green Jack Zack Ward Alex Mena Suvari Tracy and Joanne. Although I can see that this kind of film is not great for everyone. The storyline has been likened to Dean Koontzs 1998 film Phantoms and at first glance it is similar though Dont Blink delves more into the fear within us and the breakdown of our humanity when faced with situations we have no control overCloser to a grownup version of 1990s Lord of the Flies Dont Blink is a slow-simmering well-paced movie.

Robert Frank revolutionized photography and independent film. That presence persists late into the picture and it will leave lots of questions unanswered which makes the film worth a second watch. Ten friends meet up at a resort and find out everyone else has vanished.
